William "Bill" Sam Paul, age 70, a resident of Manitowoc, and formerly of Euless, TX, passed away while surrounded by family on Saturday morning, November 12, 2022 at St. Mary's Nursing Home at Felician Village.

Bill was born on June 15, 1952 in Joliet, IL to Eileen (Ruettiger) Paul and the late Sam Harold Paul.  After graduating from Joliet Catholic High School, he went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Loras College where he was co-captain of the wrestling team and an avid weight lifter. Bill was always quick to crack a joke, and had a laugh you could hear a mile away. After college, Bill moved to Dallas, TX where he was a Deputy Sherriff for Tarrant County for 35 years. He enjoyed going to the movies with family, classical music, and natural science and history museums. Once Bill retired, he moved back to Shorewood, IL to care for his mother, Eileen.

Survivors include Bill's mother, Eileen Paul; brother, Robert (Annette) Paul; daughter, Theresa Talkington; son, Matthew (Andrea) Paul; granddaughter, Paisley Talkington; also other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Sam Paul.
