Obituary

Tom Shea, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2018 at St Mary's Home Memory Unit at Felician Village in Manitowoc.

Tom was born on January 10, 1931 in Eau Claire. After graduating from St. Patrick's High School, Eau Claire, in 1950 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. On July 7, 1956, Tom married Agnes (Sis) Zdrazil in Chippewa Falls. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Tom was involved in the Hunter Safety Program in Eau Claire for 25 years at Westgate Sportsman's Club. He and Sis loved traveling in their various recreation vehicles throughout the years until settling in Mission, TX for their retirement  years.  Tom loved his 21 years in Texas, where he could play golf, his lifelong passion, all year long.

Tom is survived by his wife, Agnes (Sis) of Manitowoc. Together they raised two daughters; Susan Shea and her significant other, Ken Weymouth of Manitowoc, and Colleen (Randy) Stump of Seattle, WA. Tom enjoyed his two grandchildren, Devin Gust (fiancee Rochelle Bellinger) of Belgium, and Angela Gust (Konnor) DeBeauvernet of Fort Rucker, Alabama.  Tom is also survived by his ten brothers and sisters: James (Joann) Shea, Mount Pleasant; Patricia Farber, Eau Claire; Mary (Gerald) Baskfield, Beaver Dam; Judy (Bruce) McGrath, San Francisco, CA; Michael (Lorna) Shea, Sacramento, CA; David Shea, Monroe, WA; Richard (Sharon) Shea,  Altoona; Carole (Greg) Sleight, Chippewa Falls; Daniel Shea and his significant other,  Aggie Wottreng, Eau Claire; and Julie (Michael) Selz, Mint Hills, NC; brother-in-law Robert Coons, HI along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Coons; and brother-in-law, Robert Farber.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Life Celebration on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Westgate Sportsman's Club, 4909 Sportsman Drive, Eau Claire.   A private family burial will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Tom's family would like to thank the nurses, staff, priests and sisters at St. Mary's Memory Unit, Felician Village for all the loving care and compassion they gave him.
