Obituary

William O. Schoshinski, DDS, age 80, a resident of Whitelaw, entered into eternal life while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at his residence.

William was born on September 5, 1930 in Waukesha to the late William and Mary O'Connell Schoshinski. He graduated from Marquette University High School with the class of 1948. William then enlisted with the United States Navy where he served as a dental technician until his honorable discharge in 1954. He continued his education at Marquette University and graduated from Marquette University Dental School with the class of 1961. On September 10, 1955, William married Suzanne M. Clark at St. Jude Catholic Church in Wauwatosa. He practiced dentistry in Berlin, Reedsville, and Manitowoc for 43 years. William was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Suzanne; 11 children: Mary Ellen (Jim "Flyer") Felde, Wauwatosa; Ann (Russ) Miller, Holmen; Jim Schoshinski, Grapevine, TX; John Schoshinski, Mesa, AZ; Bill (Karen) Schoshinski, Manitowoc; Cathy Schoshinski, Milwaukee; Patti (Keith) Debroux, Kiel; Tom (Holli) Schoshinski, Lindenhurst, IL; Dan (Vicki) Schoshinski, Whitefish Bay; Kevin Schoshinski, Milwaukee; Michele (Ken) Jones, Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren: Sara, Michelle, Katie, Justin, Tyler, Tia, Justine, Taylor, Mairyn, Kaeson, Cameron, Ryleigh, Jamie, Cara, Delaney, Cassidy, Brady, and Grayson; six step grandchildren: P.J., Dottie, Jake, Kristi, Brandan, and Austin; three great grandchildren: Kylie, Teagan, and Charlie Jo; two brothers: Robert (Joan) Schoshinski, Garrett Park, MD; and James (Carol) Schoshinski, Green Bay; one sister: Susan (William) Conley, Hampton, VA; one brother-in-law: Patrick (Barbara) Clark, Carson City, NV; one sister-in-law: Nora (Don) Kohlbeck, Camarillo, CA; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson: Nicholas Miller; and one brother-in-law: Giles F. Clark.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 5 pm until 8 pm. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Paul Kieffer at 7 pm. The visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from 9 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. The Rev. Daniel Felton will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, William's family requests that any memorials be directed to the Special Olympics or to the charity of the donor's choice.
